With over 22 years on the morning show, Steve is well known throughout NM for his community involvement, working with dozens of nonprofit groups, schools & churches. He is highly sought after as a Motivational Speaker for Civic Organizations, Church Groups, Graduations and Corporate Events. He especially enjoys speaking with students about the importance of staying in school and making their dreams come true. Steve is a weekly visitor at the Youth Diagnostic & Detention Center (YDDC) where he serves as a Mentor & Teacher, counseling and encouraging youthful offenders. He also speaks to adult inmates at state prisons about changing their lives, and becoming productive members of society.
